Julie has been knitting since she was a pre-teen and spinning for eight years. She also needle felts, dyes and weaves. She has taught fiber crafts in three states, Canada and India. She is also the author of two books, “Knitting by Faith” and “India by Faith.” Julie is a knitwear designer available on Ravelry, Etsy, and Amazon. She is a member of the Prairie Hand Spinners Guild in Billings and is a member of its Fiber Fest Planning Committee. Julie won “Best of Show” at Montana Fair 2016 for a linen stitch blanket and skein of 2-ply gradient handspun. She has also been the recipient of various ribbons and heritage awards. When not playing with fiber, she’s most likely avoiding housework by hiking the hills, driving around to see mountains, reading, writing her next book or composing her next knitting pattern. She lives in Molt, Montana, with her husband and critters.
